Big Brother Evictee Jade Goody to receive Police back-up for live eviction show

Heartfordshire Police head-quarters in Welling have confirmed that they have arranged for a strong Police presence at the Elstree studio’s in Hertfordshire  for tonight’s live eviction. Strong indications are that Jade Goody will be evicted in tonight’s show and  concerns are growing for the safety of the controversial housemate.

 

Nikki Hall of Hertfordshire Police confirmed “Due to the nature of complaints received by us over the last few days, we will be providing a strong Police back up to assist with Endemol’s own security team with whom we will be liaising with throughout this evening’s live show.” She continued “We can confirm that we have received a number of unspecified threats but we will not be providing a Police escort for Ms Goody as she leaves the studio, that is something that Endemol may take care of”

 

The Channel 4 show has broken all records for the number of complaints received and organisers are expecting a record number of people to vote throughout the day to evict Jade Goody.

 

Elstree studios have said that they have stepped up their own security around the studios and a spokesman said that the level

has been upped significantly following information from Endemol that they have received death threats.

 

Jade Goody’s career is expected to take a nose dive following her eviction this evening and already the results of her turbulence inside the house have seen sponsors the Carphone Warehouse withdraw their sponsorship for the programme while Jade Goody’s own perfume label ‘Shh’ has been removed from shelves in all of it’s stockists.

 

Nothing has been confirmed as to whether there will be a similar police presence for future evictees such as Danielle Lloyd or Sam O’Meara.
