Heather Mills McCartney and Sir Paul McCartney have allegedly reached an out of court settlement and the divorce proceedings have reached an end.

According to a News Of The World reporter, the two are apparently calling a truce in order to avoid a bitter and drawn out court-room drama which would invariably be played out across the world’s media.

The former Beatle and National treasure Sir Paul has agreed to give Heather Mills a settlement in the region of £29 million including cash and property after months of bitter fighting and mud slinging.

Apparently Heather Mills has backed down on numerous demands agreeing to less than half her original claim and mush less in the way of property and assets. Heather Mills will no longer have any claim over Sir Paul’s back catalogue of music or his substantial property port folio including a £17million house in the South Of France.

However, Heather Mills has vowed that she will continue to dish the dirt on Sir Paul and sell her stories of domestic violence claiming that Sir Paul had been violent during their 6 year marriage.

The pair were reported to have reached a settlement in January but lawyers for Heather Mills strongly refuted the claims. Heather is said to have chosen a much more reasonable settlement in an attempt to ‘move on’ – however strong reports suggest that the courts would not have dealt Ms Mills nearly half as much as she has now settled for.

Heather Mills has told friends that  “I will not sign a gagging clause because I want people to know the truth.” But sir Paul is accusing Heather Mills of inventing fictional fantasy in an attempt to bolster public support.

Heather Mills and Paul McCartney’s daughter Beatrice will reside with Ms Mills, Sir Paul will have limited access and there is expected to be further court dealings over access as she gets older.

A full statement from both parties is expected within days and the divorce will be made official when the family court judge seals and closes the case in the next few days.
