The director of a Norwegian museum is convinced that Adolf Hitler worked as a Disney cartoonist who drew Pinocchio and Snow White’s Seven Dwarves. William Hakvaag, who runs theWorld War II museum on the Lofoten Islands discovered four watercolours hidden in a painting attributed to Hitler.

Hakvaag bought the painting at an auction in Germany last year. The painting, which depicts a Bavarian landscape, bears the signature "A Hitler, 1940". Hakvaag had removed the back from the picture frame to see whether there were any other pictures inside, and found the four watercolours.

The watercolours, other than the painting of Pinocchio which is unsigned, bear the initials "A.H." All of them are smaller than the landscape painting, which measures 35 square centimetres. Hakvaag admitted that it was difficult to be fully certain that these are Hitler’s work. He is convinced that they are his, since Hitler was himself a great fan of Snow White and had his own copy of the film, which was first shown in 1937.
