Jade Goody not welcome in India

Jade Goody has embarked on an initial trip of peace to India following her media crucifixion and the Big Brother racism affair.

Jade set off for Delhi on a Virgin Airlines flight with two days ago and arrived at her £200 a night hotel to an angry crowd waiting outside. Word quickly spread that Jade Goody was staying at the hotel and there have been angry scenes outside. One protester threw eggs at Ms Goody as she left the 5 star hotel Le Meridian to attend a tour of Delhi laid on by the Indian government.

One protester said “Jade has come to India because she wants to repair the damage to her own career and not because she has a genuine fascination with our culture” but Jade Goody retaliated with her own statement shortly afterwards – “I was invited to India because I have always expressed an interest in Indian culture and food, I want to understand the Indian people and I have funded this trip myself”.

Jade is apparently staying at the £200 a night hotel at her own expense, Catherine Lister – Jade’s agent confirmed that she was in India on a peaceful trip at her own expense.

The damage done to Jade Goody’s career following her controversial stay in this years Celebrity Big Brother has been monumental and she is reported to have lost in the region of £5.4million in net worth since her departure from the Channel 4 experiment in January.

Jade Goody is reported to be writing a book about her experiences following her fall from grace and about her future although as yet, no publisher has agreed to purchasing the rights. Jade Goody will return to the UK on Friday.
