Rolling Stones Keith Richards ‘Snorted His Father’s Ashes’
Eccentric Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards has sensationally claimed that he snorted the ashes of his dead father with a cocaine concoction.

63-year-old Richards told Music Publication NME of the revelations following his father Bert’s death at the age of 84 in 2002. Despite openly acknowledging his fondness for drugs in the past, it’s presumed that the rockstar will face mass criticism for his latest stunt.
"The strangest thing I've tried to snort? My father. I snorted my father. He was cremated and I couldn't resist grinding him up with a little bit of blow." Richards continued to explain the scenario in the interview, stating that his father’s ashes “went down pretty well, and I’m still alive. My dad wouldn't have cared.” Richards’ manager Jane Rose has immediately reiterated that the claim was “said in jest.” Ms Rose informed MTV News that she could not believe that the claim had been taken seriously. The outrageous announcement which was posted on the NME website on Tuesday was initially thought to have been a late April Fools joke. However, an NME spokeswoman revealed that the full interview was genuine and would appear on newsstands on Wednesday. Renown as one of rock’s original legendary wild men, Richards warned aspiring young musicians to steer clear of emulating his antics, telling NME that his survival was the result of luck. "I did it because that was the way I did it. Now people think it's a way of life." The revealing interview also covers an in-depth recollection of the veteran rocker’s accident in Fiji last year, which required brain surgery. "I've been trepanned. That's quite an interesting experience, especially for my brain surgeon, who saw my thoughts flying around in my brain. I've got pictures of it, mate. They cut my head, brain, skull open, went in and pulled out the crap, and put some of it back again. I wasn't climbing a tree, I was sitting on a shrub. I was sitting on that shrub again today, but I happened to fall off it the wrong way that day." Richards also took a sideswipe at some of the UK’s modern day giant musical acts. "Everyone's a load of crap. "They are trying to be somebody else and they ain't being themselves. Libertines, Arctic Monkeys, Bloc Party? Load of crap, load of crap. Posers, rubbish." Speaking to BBC Radio 4’s Today programme, NME interviewer Mark Beaumont responded to the question marks regarding his insightful meeting with Richards. “He did seem to be quite honest about it.
