I am a freelance professional photographer living near Cambridge, England.
My visual interests are varied, and I like to cover photographic assignments of most types, for example, galas, openings, festivals, concerts, PR and corporate events, trade shows, etc. I love to shoot images for magazines and company newsletters, and do specific personal projects for clients. Travel is a particular love (who does not like to travel?) and my stock portfolio contains lots of tourism related images.
Like many photographers, I love to find work that challenges me, and enjoy meeting so many new people on my assignments. Capturing those special moments, and people’s expressions is very satisfying, a good image really does speak volumes. Seeing images from other photographers, I am continually amazed by the many ways subjects can be shot, and love to share my images as well, via the many websites for photographers.
Having a design and marketing background is useful in capturing quality pictures for any project, and I can deliver images as individual prints, digital files, and a new method of hardbound photobooks.
Favourite places include Venice, Paris, Santorini, Amsterdam, London and of course Cambridge. I want to see China, Vietnam and Iceland as particular goals, and in my mind is a project on the dance music culture in Ibiza. The world is a wonderful place and I feel privileged to be able to present my impressions of it. Influences range from Ansel Adams, Bill Brandt, Mario Testino and countless others who make images so evocative, they make me gasp.
Every day is part of a journey that should never end.
