It is a scintillatingly hot summer’s evening in Leicester Square, London.  Crowds are gathered around the Odeon.  This can only mean one thing.  Another premiere for, another summer blockbuster.  Pirates of the Caribbean 2: Dead Man’s Chest had its grand opening in the Square, this evening, to the sounds and cheers of numerous fans.

The sequel to the hugely successful, Curse of the Black Pearl, finds that effervescent of characters, Captain Jack Sparrow in trouble once again and in debt to one of his arch enemies, Davy Jones played by Bill Nighy.  Sparrow must find the key to a chest that the whole world seems to be after including his cohorts from that first film played by Keira Knightley and Orlando Bloom.

The three main stars of the movie arrived at the premiere and went around the crowd several times, happily signing autographs and chatting to fans, before heading into the cinema.  Other attendees, included co-stars; Jack Davenport and Mackenzie Crook.  Before the screening began, the main stars of the film came out onto the mezzanine to wave once more to their adoring fans below.

The crowd also welcomed Greg Rudeski, Jonathan Ross and Charlotte Church.  The crowd also embraced several members of the hit TV series, Lost including Jose Garcia, Maggie Grace and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje.
